Empowering New Horse Owners

Our mission is to educate struggling new horse owners. We know the equine industry can be brutal, and the community even more so. That’s why we offer all the resources you need to be a better caretaker, rider, and manager of your horses. A community of people who will support you in your journey and offer the help and information you need. We did that by creating a digital library for new horse owners.

In everything we do, we strive to live according to the examle set to us by Christ Jesus, and that extends to our jobs, whether that’s our paid jobs or day-to-day “chores.” As believers, we have been called to be set apart, and at Urban Riders we do our best to incorporate that truth into everything we do.

Exploring Our Digital Libray

Equipping you to be better a equestrian

In our digital library you will find everything you need, from graphs and charts to courses that teach you how to take care of your horse or make money off your farm. There’s a huge community of people who are willing to help you, and we’ve brought them together, all in one place just for your benefit. Our courses are taught by top industry professionals. Similarly, all our information has been thoroughly vetted, everything backed by evidence and research, so you can have peace of mind. With all the information out in the world, it’s hard to know what is true and what isn’t, or even where to find what you need. We’ve taken care of that for you, so everything you need is in one place.

Created For Freedom

Even though we want to be a resource to help you physically, we also want to be a resource to help you grow spiritually. Just like the horse, we weren’t created to live in captivity. We were created to live abundantly in freedom. But freedom looks different than what we think. We can get so caught up in our learned patterns we don’t even realize there’s more we are capable of doing, of being. We weren’t made for wandering and hoping for the best. Instead, we were made for deep, personal, intimate connection with God.

You see, it’s hard to get a horse to do what you need them to do if they don’t know and trust you as a good leader. Of course, we could just force them to do what we want, but that’s not a lasting change. In the same way, God loves us enough to not leave us in the learned patterns. And He’s teaching us that He’s a good, strong leader worthy of our trust. That we can rely on Him even when we are uncertain.

Trusting God’s Lead

Once, I knew a blind horse. He’d had both eyes removed due to medical reasons, and his owner was still able to take him on trail. They went through streams, woods, fields, pastures. And he followed his owner’s lead without question. Do you think he would’ve done that if he hadn’t trusted her? If he hadn’t known that she wouldn’t lead him somewhere harmful? God is calling us to do something similar: follow Him without hesitation, because we know He is a good, safe, and confidant leader.
